On Thursday 9th I went to my doctors appointment and was dilated to a 3 and 80% effaced.
So my doctor stripped my membranes in hope that I would go into labor before he went out of the country for 2 weeks.
Then he told me to walk Foremaster to try to help start my labor.
So after work I walked foremaster, jumped on the tramp, and even tried drinking castor oil in a strawberry shake(disgusting) but still nothing!
On Friday morning around 7 I was feeling light contractions and started counting them.
They were 3-4 minutes apart and I had them for 2 hours.
I was so excited! I thought for sure I was going to have the baby.
I decided to walk up the West side of the D hill pushing Stella in her stroller.
Man that was AWFUL!
By the afternoon I wasn't having any more contractions. So I started Blue Cohosh hoping that would kick things in before my Doctor left at 5.
Nothing! Once 5pm hit I decided to stop everything and just let things come when they come.
We went out to dinner and went over to Scott's brother's house and hung out.
I woke up multiple times in the night to go to the bathroom and everything was normal.
I woke up at 6:45am with a horrible pain in my back,
I thought I had to go to the bathroom but it kept getting stronger then finally went away.
I realized it was a contraction so I grabbed my phone to start track of the contractions.
I had another one very quickly and it lasted for a minute.
I had to hold onto the side of the bed it was so painful.
That one lasted for a minute again!
After one more contraction that lasted a minute I woke Scott up and told him I was having contractions.
He got out of bed and slowly started getting dressed and Stella came in, she started getting all excited.
I had another contraction that almost knocked me on the ground.
Once Scott saw that we hurried and got dressed and headed to the hospital.
I did turn on the flat iron in hopes of straightening my hair but i gave up after a contraction.
Luckily, Scott's brother Steve had stayed at our house just in case I went into labor.
He stayed at the house and watched Stella.
By the time we got to labor and delivery I couldn't stand during my contractions.
I would just hold onto Scott as tight as possible.
A CNA took me into a room to get changed (it was about 7:30) I was in so much pain I just stripped right there to get the gown on. The CNA said everyone was in a C-section and it would be a little bit before someone could come check on me!
Luckily a lady came in and said she saw me come in and wanted to see if she could help.
She was a nurse but was there to teach a prenatal class.
She checked me and I was dilated to an 8!
I asked if I could get an epidural asap and the CNA said he was in the C-section and couldn't until he got out in 20 minutes.
My contractions kept getting worse and worse.
Stupid me never took a prenatal class of any kind with Stella or with this pregnancy.
I might of screamed a couple times, oops!
I'm not sure how many, that part is all a bit of a blur.
But around 7:55 I let out an horrific yell, the contraction was the worst yet.
The C-section was out so a nurse and some others came running in.
She checked me and I was in transition!
I almost died, I didn't want to go natural and it was so painful!
The doctor came in and informed me that we were going to do it natural and that everything was going to be fine.
The rest is a bit of blur.
I hunched down and began pushing and after 3 contractions she was born, 8:04am.
I tore a little bit (to a 2 the doctor said)
but besides that everything was great.
6 lbs 13oz
19 1/2 inches
8:04am
She was beautiful! She cried and they got her all taken care of.
Because we were trying to get into the hospital quickly we left the camera and video camera so all pictures that were taken were taken on phones. So I am still trying to collect all the pictures.
Scott called Steve after the baby was born and he brought Stella over.
She was so excited. She gave a present to Luna and we got a present for her "from" Luna.
She thought that was best!
I have now had an epidural, c-section and gone natural.
